RTX 5060 to 5090, lined up by price per GB of VRAM
The hardest part of choosing a graphics card is deciding how far up to go. Here is the RTX 50 series lined up by today's price and by price per GB of VRAM.
The tiers, simply
RTX 5060 (8GB): an entry card for 1080p gaming at sensible settings.
RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) and RTX 5070 (12GB): the 1440p sweet spot; comfortable for new games at high settings.
RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 (16GB): high-refresh 1440p or 4K.
RTX 5090 (32GB): 4K at max settings, and the card for running AI models yourself.
Why VRAM matters
VRAM is the card's own memory. High-resolution textures and AI models run fast only when they fit in it, so at the same price a card with more VRAM often lasts longer.
A low price per GB is not the whole story, though: the chips differ too. Treat the table as a feel for value, not a ranking.
